Cut the directors, cut the waste

Since 2004, when the Lib Dems took control of the Council, the management bill for directors has risen from £637,000 to £1,663,000.

This is mainly due to the number of new Director posts created by the Lib Dems, including:

Assistant Chief Executive / Director of Policy
Executive Director of Children’s Services
Director of Children’s Services (Delivery Outcome)
Director of Children’s Services (Planning and Performance)
Director of Adult Services
Executive Director of Environment and Regeneration
Director of Area based Regeneration
Director of Street Planning, Transportation and Housing
Director of Regulatory Services and Public Protection
Director of Technical Services
Director of Resources and Performance
Director of Communications
